The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan hosted the Great Futures Gala at the Westin Book Cadillac on Nov. 29 to celebrate the group’s 92nd anniversary and honor native Detroiter Matthew P. Cullen, CEO of JACK Entertainment and Principal of Rock Ventures for his commitment to community.

In addition to a gourmet dinner, guests enjoyed a reception featuring award winning journalist and WDIV news anchor, Rhonda Walker, remarks by entrepreneur, CEO of Real Times Media, and Board Chair of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan, Hiram E. Jackson, as well as a formal introduction from Social Entrepreneur and new President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan, Shawn H. Wilson.

As our premiere event of the year, the Great Futures Gala celebrated the furthering of our mission to provide a positive environment that enables members to become responsible, self-reliant, caring adults. A shining example of these values, our 2018 Youth of the Year, Gabrielle Strother, was honored for her stellar academic success, good character and citizenship.
